You may be wondering what Freebsd Unix is, and why it is on my Linux page. Well Freebsd, like Linux, is a Free and Open Source operating system. The Freebsd and Linux communities share many ideas, programs and source code. Freebsd is very different than Linux, but a lot of your Linux knowledge can be used on Freebsd. Some of the largest web sites in the world run on Freebsd / Apache web server; as a proven combo that can stand up to the pressure.
